This week I want to talk about an animated TV series called Metalocalypse. The series is about the greatest band in the world called Dethklok and their exploits. The show has a lot of dark humor, but has allot to offer for metal fans. Many famous actors and musicians like Mark Hamil from Star Wars, King Diamond, Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica lend their voices for the show. I think this show is a definite must see for all metal fans.
This week metal Monday is on Tuesday because I wasn’t able to post yesterday. Metal Monday doesn’t always have to be only about the music. Metal can take many forms. This week I wanted to talk to you about a very special and metal person. If you’ve ever met Mark Regimbal AKA The Knifefighter you know he is quite a character. If he picks on you, you know you’re on his good side. Well actually, he makes fun of everyone, but don’t be fooled Mark is a good guy. He knows metal like the back of his hand, he’s a fanatic of all that is strange and is a master of the occult. He is the one who gave me the nickname Weird Beard at an Impact game this summer when he thought I was high on mescaline. He is definitely a good guy to have on your side. You should check out his blog I guarantee a laugh, or complete disgust.
“Luca shave that beard, grow your hair back and get that fish-hook out of your face!”-Mark Regimbal
Jesse Bowden made the game programme for the games on Sunday. He was inspired from Dirty Rotten Imbeciles. D.R.I started back in the early 80’s but never broke out in the mainstream. This sunday we will face Real Montreal formerly known as Hollywood FC and Once Amigos. You might notice the programme has Brigade written on it, that’s the support group for the RFC. You can pick up a scarf at Off The Hook and come show us some support.
I just discovered Hester Prynne on saturday while I was browsing the metal section at HMV. The album cover was amazing so I decided to check it out. Here’s one of my favorite songs, lots of pig squeals and anger.
